Neurotechnologies

Assistive technologies enhance learning.

In order to succeed in academics, many of our students require remedial interventions using neurotechnologies. CLA’s teachers have extensive experience applying the following technology tools that are woven throughout the school day.

Interactive Metronome (IM)

This is an evidence-based assessment and training tool that helps to measure and improve Neurotiming (the synchronization of neural impulses) within key brain networks for cognitive, communicative, sensory & motor performance. When our student activates a trigger in time with a steady auditory beat, IM provides real-time auditory and visual feedback for precision timing. Learning whether they are hitting before, after, or exactly in sync with the beat allows our student to make quick, online corrections to improve their timing & rhythm over the course of the training.

The Listening Program

Also known as the “Psycho-Acoustic Music Program”,  this helps our students gain extra support in regulation, processing, and language processing and regulation (combination).

Fast ForWord

This is a brain-based program which is designed to strengthen our students’ language and their phonemic awareness. It also helps to strengthen and improve their memory, attention, processing, and sequencing. Using the program, we help our students improve their language, reading, and comprehension skills.
